******This series centered around the private investigations company of “Assignments Unlimited”, an
organisation that investigated uncommon cases and who guaranteed successes at all time. The
main character was Aubrey Mason, chief investigator played by Michael Todd. In essence this
story reminds a lot of “Address Unknown”, with Henry Simon being replaced by Aubrey Mason. In
stead of missing persons being sought, this time around it’s uncommon cases being investigated
and solved.
A Glitch in the System by Carolyn Sally Jones
A Haunting by William Boyd
******What do a marital breakdown, a wave phenomenon from the world of Physics, and a Scottish water
engineer have in common? This play provides an answer. It's a modern ghost story, and the Saltire wave -
one which continues when the original cause of the disturbance has disappeared - discovered 150 years
ago in a drainage channel, might possibly have repercussions in other dimensions.

BBC Radio 4 version of Alan Bennett's acclaimed comedy drama stage play.
Present-day Kafka aficionado Sydney, and his wife Linda, are visited by the
long-dead Kafka and his friend Max Brod (with whom Kafka had left
instructions for all his works to be burned instructions which Brod chose to
ignore). As we spend time with the unusual party, it becomes clear that Kafka's
wish was for anonymity and also that he had serious issues with his father.
When his parent turns up, he is in possession of a very personal secret relating
to his son one which Kafka is terrified he will disclose...This is a brilliantly clever,
fast-moving comedy drama from award-winning Alan Bennett, and the performances
of the starry cast are riveting.

Moonfleet 1.2 by t J. Meade Falkner
Moonfleet 2.2
******Moonfleet (1898) begins as a mystery and an adventure story,
a tale of smuggling set among the cliffs, caves, and downs of Dorset.
What will be the outcome of the conflict between smugglers and
revenue men? How can the hero, John Trenchard, discover the secret
of Colonel John Mohune's treasure? As the book progresses these
two interwoven themes resolve themselves into a third and richer one,
with the friendship and suffering of both John Trenchard and the craggy,
taciturn Elzevir Block. Falkner's feeling for history and for the landscape
of his Dorset setting combine with his gift for storytelling to turn
Moonfleet into a historical romance of moving intensity.

There are some grand performances, notable from Margot Boyd as a septuagenarian mountaineer, Steve Hodson
as a self-possessed smoothie, and Alan Downer as the irascible Welsh steward. It is all quite marvellous and
nothing done on radio 4 nowadays comes within a mile of it.
