as a witch. Ledrede publicly denounced her claiming she was a “Heretical Sorceress” and fuelling 
panic among the people of Kilkenny. The case was taken to “parliament” in Dublin where Alice 
realised just how far Bishop Ledrede was willing to go to ensure she would burn-at-the-stake. 
Alice was left with no choice but to flee to England and plan her revenge.
