Fort Laramie

FORT LARAMIE opened with "Specially transcribed tales of the dark and tragic ground of the wild frontier. The saga of fighting men who rode the rim of empire and the dramatic story of Lee Quince, Captain of Cavalry". The part of Lee Quince was played Raymond Burr, whose powerful voice made the character very believable. This short but excellent series was created by Norman Macdonnell, among whose credits include GUNSMOKE. Like GUNSMOKE, the productions were of high caliber, aided by a great supporting case, including Vic Perrin (Sergeant Gorce), Harry Bartell (Lieutenant Siberts) and Jack Moyles (Major Daggett).
