Crisis
CRISIS was an anthology series produced in Seattle from 1973 to 1977
by Jim French. A well-done series, it is unfortunate it was not
widely distributed. The shows typically ran approximately 20 to 25
minutes, allowing the addition of commercials to fill a 30 minute
time slot, although there were two 1-hour shows.
The series was consistently well done in all respects. CRISIS topics
were similar to those of Sears/Mutual Radio Theater - adventure,
comedy and drama with a few science fiction and western episodes.
Unlike Sears Radio Theater, there was no rigid topic format.
Jim French introduced each episode, directed most of them, and wrote
a good share of the scripts.
